Keene School District Announces New Administrative Team Members for the 2020/21 School Year

Linda Morehouse has been selected as the Interim Director of Keene Community Education. Morehouse holds a Master’s of Reading from University of New Hampshire. Currently, Morehouse is the Adult Education Coordinator for Keene Community Education, a position she has held since 2018. Prior to joining Community Education, she served as a Literacy Specialist and High School Equivalency Instructor in Maine. Morehouse also held the positions of teacher and reading specialist as well as music teacher in the Nashua (NH) School District. Mrs. Morehouse will replace Jan Barry, current Director of Keene Community Education who is retiring at the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

Rachael Summe-Leonard, current Assistant Principal at Keene High School, is moving to a new position as Dean of Students at Keene High School. Summe-Leonard began her teaching career in 1991 as a social studies teacher at Keene High School before taking on the role of Assistant Principal in 2007. Summe-Leonard holds a Master’s in Educational Administration from Keene State College.
 
Brett Gottheimer has been selected as Assistant Principal at Keene High School. Gottheimer holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) from University of Connecticut. Currently, Gottheimer is the Assistant Principal at Rundlett Middle School (Concord, NH). He previously held the positions of Dean of Teaching and Learning at Center Woods Upper Elementary and Weare Middle School (Weare, NH) and as Fine Arts Department Head for Pinkerton Academy (Derry, NH). Mr. Gottheimer will replace Summe-Leonard.
 
Samantha Belcourt has been selected as the Director of the Cheshire Career Center at Keene High School. Belcourt holds a Master’s of Education – Curriculum and Instruction from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently, Belcourt serves as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator for Continuing Education at Nashua Community College (NH). Ms. Belcourt replaces previous director Michael Burnett.
 
Michael Smith has been selected as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Keene High School. Smith holds an Advanced Degree in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University (CT). Currently, Smith is the Social Studies Team Leader at Whisconier Middle School (CT). He previously held the positions of Social Studies at Brookfield High School (CT) and Summer School Director with EdAdvance (CT). Mr. Smith will replace previous director Kelly Budd.
